KARACHI: Known for his power-hitting, Asif Ali struck two maximums in last over to help Pakistan post a defendable total of 166-4 against England in fourth T20I here on Sunday. 

In a full house, Pakistan’s openers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan gave a steady start but the scoring rate remained a bit low. 

The two openers scored 97 runs in 11.4 overs before Babar fell to Liam Dawson. Babar scored 36 off 28 balls including three boundaries. 

On the other hand, Rizwan kept going for Pakistan but his scoring rate was 131.34. His innings of 88 runs was laced with nine boundaries and a six. 

England bowlers contained runs and restricted Pakistan batters on their home ground. Reece Topley bagged two wickets while David Willey took a wicket. 

Asif struck two sixes in the end to race Pakistan’s score to 166-4 in 20 overs.  


England won the toss and elected to bowl first against Pakistan in the fourth T20I of the seven-match series here at the National Stadium on Sunday.

Pakistan have made two changes as Haider Ali has been replaced by Asif Ali, while Mohammad Wasim Jr took Shahnawaz Dahani’s place.
