PAK vs ENG: Pakistan beat England by 10 wickets on Thursday

KARACHI: Pakistan will cross swords with England in the third T20I against England, aiming to take a 2-1 lead here at the National Stadium Karachi on Friday.

The high-octane clash will kick off at 07:30 PM (PST).

The hosts beat England in a massive 10-wicket victory to level the series at 1-1, thanks to an exceptional batting display by the Green Shirts’ openers, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, who smashed 106 runs and 88 runs, respectively.

Earlier, on Tuesday, the touring party beat Pakistan by six wickets after a sensational performance with the bat and ball.

Following the interesting clash, Rizwan said of his partnership with the skipper: “We blindly trust each other, we help each other, and we have great communication, which is helping us.”

“There are certain moments when we feel the pressure – these two moments are the start of the innings and when we are near the target. At start, because we always aim to provide a solid start and near the target because we feel that we shouldn’t lose the wicket after coming so close,” he added.

However, Pakistan’s bowling line-up were not up to the mark as they couldn’t restrict the opposition’s batters to a low score.

On the other hand, England put on a brilliant batting display to post 199 runs on the scoreboard. Skipper Moeen Ali scored 55 runs, while Den Duckket managed to amass 43 runs.

Moeen said his one over of off-spin bowling against Pakistan was a “gamble” that did not pay off after the visitors lost the second match.

“The momentum changed when I bowled my over. That really gave them the belief, and after that, they were almost unstoppable,” Moeen said.

“I felt like it was under control for most of it. I genuinely feel my over lost the game for us. That was a gamble on my part.”
