LAHORE: Pakistan faced a major setback ahead of the fifth T20I of the seven-match series against England, as the Green Shirts’ pace ace Naseem Shah was forced to miss the opening clash of the Lahore led due to a high fever caused by a chest infection.

According to a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) spokesperson, Naseem has been hospitalised for a fever but he is doing better.

His condition was determined by a variety of procedures, including a dengue test, according to sources.

The outcome of Shah’s medical reports will determine whether he plays in the other games, the spokesperson added.

After the conclusion of the Karachi leg of the series where four matches were played, with Pakistan and England winning two each, the two sides will clash with each other here at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday (today) at 07:30 PM (PST).
