KARACHI: Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan said that his heart would have stopped during the roller-coaster fourth T20I match between Pakistan and England here at the National Stadium Karachi on Sunday.

In a nerve-wrenching encounter in front of an electric Karachi crowd, Haris Rauf kept his cool in the 19th over to take two wickets and turn the game on its head. In the last over, with Reece Topley and Adil Rashid at the crease, Shan Masood managed to get Topley run-out, bowling out England for 163.

Reacting to the nail-biting encounter, Pakistan’s vice-captain Shadab said watching the nerve-racking clash in the dug-out almost stopped his heart.

“Bahir bhet ker dekhna zyada mushkil hai. Mera dil band ho jana tha. Kya kamal match tha [Watching the match from outside the field is tougher. My heart would have stopped. What a match it was],” he wrote.

Shadab also lauded his teammates for a sensational performance.

The Men in Green will take on England in the fifth T20I at the Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday.
